Prince Harry's leaked phone call with his father King Charles has left the monarch "disappointed" according to a royal expert.
It emerged last week that the Duke of Sussex had decided to not attend a small family gathering in London to celebrate his father's 75th birthday on November 14.
However, shortly after the news broke, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's spokesperson issued a rare statement that rubbished reports of the duke snubbing the special occasion and claimed that Charles had not extended an invitation to his son in the first place.
According to the Sussexes', the 39-year-old prince would not be in attendance as “there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday”, the Mirror reports.
In a surprising turn of events, it emerged that the duke made a private phone call to the monarch on his birthday and even showed him a pre-recorded video of he and Meghan Markle's children Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, singing Happy Birthday to their estranged grandfather.
Many hoped that the call was an olive branch between Harry and the King and was the beginning of the end of their lengthy feud.
However, according to a royal expert, Charles has been left furious that the details of their private conversation have been leaked and is pointing the finger of blame at his son.
