Police are appealing for information after a pensioner died following a fatal crash on the A9 last night.

Police have taped off a road in Kilmarnock this evening.
Picken Street in the town has been shut down by officers with no access to part of the road for drivers or pedestrians.
Two uniformed officers are stationed at the scene with other police vehicles there earlier in the evening.
It's unclear the nature of the incident police are currently dealing with.
Residents of the Riccarton street have gathered outside homes in a bid to establish what is happening.
Picken Street is near to Kilmarnock fire station and looks onto the slip road for the A71 with Bridgend Motors close by too.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
