Julian Lennon was “shocked” by Paul McCartney’s virtual John Lennon duet

The companies previously collaborated on “McEnroe,” a documentary about the tennis great John McEnroe, which was released in U.K. cinemas in July and premiered on Showtime on Sept. 2. As development financiers and executive producers on both projects, Dogwoof will be presenting the projects to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was overcome with emotion as he and his bandmates took to the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium, during a star-studded concert to remember their late drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Tearing up, the musician began a poignant version of Foo Fighters’ 2002 hit ‘Times Like These’ with his bandmates, plus Devo and The Vandals’ drummer Josh Freese.After a raucous rendition of ‘All My Life’, Grohl explained how the last set of the evening would work.

John Lennon’s son Julian was shocked by his father being brought “back to life” during Sir Paul McCartney’s shows. Lennon has been digitally ‘resurrected’ using video and artificial intelligence to perform duets with Sir Paul, including one of the 1969 track ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’ at the singer’s Glastonbury headline slot this year. The stunt was masterminded by The Beatles documentary ‘Get Back’ filmmaker Peter Jackson, who used “machine learning technology” to isolate Lennon's vocals from old recordings and arrange them into a copy of a live performance.

The virtual reunion of two former Beatles was an odd experience for Julian Lennon.

Paul McCartney has paid tribute to his late brother-in-law and lawyer John Eastman following his death at the age of 83.  The Beatles star, 80, shared a photo of him and Eastman doing yoga poses together as he shared a touching message.  He wrote: ‘My dear brother-in-law, John Eastman, has passed away.

wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the two. Eastman was the brother of Paul’s late wife Linda Eastman McCartney, who died of breast cancer in 1998.“John was a great man. One of the nicest and smartest people I have had the good luck to have known in my life.
