Holly Willoughby will be seen in a different light this week as she makes her acting debut on an ITV drama. Viewers are used to seeing Holly, 42, front This Morning alongside several co-hosts including Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle and Alison Hammond since Phillip Schofield stepped down from the programme earlier this year.
Although viewers have seen the mum-of-three on other TV shows such as Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Juice, Holly is set to feature on a completely different show as she makes an appearance on Midsomer Murders. The ITV drama series has seen detectives tackle murder, mayhem and mystery in the English countryside over the years.
The presenter is set to make her first cameo when the the series returns this weekend as she will play a version of herself real-life self as the 'Queen of daytime telly'. A first-look preview clip was teased on Good Morning Britain today (August 23) which showed Holly in action.

Holly's acting stint was discussed on GMB on Wednesday with hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley playing a clip from the drama ahead of its return to screens this Sunday, reports The Mirror.
But the episode itself was actually filmed two years ago, with the TV star speaking about her cameo back in 2021. "I thought it was just interesting people would turn to a series about murder and death for escapism. People have found it a joyous escape from the horrors of real life," Holly said around the time of filming.
"My episode involves a murder mystery country house party weekend. Barnaby and Winter turn up to investigate. Everyone is trapped on this island with a murderer."
