Holly Willoughby will return to This Morning after a lengthy summer break and time spent out of the spotlight following Phillip Schofield's explosive exit. The TV presenter, 42, is set to make a brief comeback on This Morning on Friday, 25 August following a six-week break from the ITV daytime show last month for her annual summer holiday.
Holly will officially return to This Morning on Monday, 4 September but has surprised fans by revealing she's heading back into the studio earlier than expected, but it will only be to promote herupcoming cameo on Midsomer Murders which she described as a "dream come true". In a turn of events, Holly will sit on the other side of the sofa and will be the one being interviewed by her current stand-ins.
The brief return comes as the TV star promotes her upcoming appearance on the mystery series, with her episode set to hit screens this Sunday.
Sharing a video preview of some of the behind the scenes footage that will air on Friday, Holly wrote on Instagram: "This truly was a dream come true. "Thank you to the whole team at Midsomer Murders for making me so welcome and really looking after me… I loved every second.
"Tomorrow there is a behind the scenes look at what we got up to on @thismorning and then Sunday 8pm the episode, The Witches of Angels Rise broadcasts on @itv. "Each year, the Midsomer village of Angel’s Rise hosts an annual Psychic Fayre in the vast and gothic Eddon Hall.
Founded by the Saint-Stephens family in memory of their late daughter, the event attracts all manner of mediums, psychics and followers of the occult. When a body is found surrounded by ritual symbols on the eve of the gathering, Barnaby must step into a world of self-proclaimed witches to find the killer.
