ITV's Lorraine Kelly apologises for 'really bad' wardrobe blunder and says 'it won't happen again'

Lorraine Kelly was left apologising as she returned to screens as she promised her ITV co-stars and viewers "it won't happen again". The presenter was back fronting her self-titled show on Wednesday (November 8) after returning earlier this week following her half-term break.
As usual, she appeared for her usual crossover with Good Morning Britain where she spoke to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about what was coming up on her hour-long show which airs directly after the ITV news programme finishes each weekday at 9am.
But as she appeared on-screen, Lorraine was quick to apologise to viewers as they may have noticed she wasn't wearing a poppy like her colleagues in honour of the period of Remembrance.

"Oh, my poppy! It must have fallen off, " she exclaimed as she must have seen herself back on-screen. "I had it on and then I walked up the stairs. I do apologise," Lorraine continued.
"Do you know what? I should wear about ten. I just realised when I saw you," the 63-year-old then told Susanna and Ed. "I will go and sort that out immediately," she promised.
But Susanna was quick to defend her colleague who chimned in and said: "Sometimes the pin doesn't quite hold them in. You are forgiven, Lorraine." The Scottish TV star then responded: "Thank you, but it will not happen again. That's really bad."
It comes after Lorraine was left heartbokent as her show lost one of its producers, Hannah Hawkins, to cancer. Hannah, who was a digital producer for ITV, was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time whilst pregnant with son
