Cat Deeley is set to take over the This Morning sofa next week but she's no stranger to the small screen and has been known to many for the last two decades.
The British television presenter is known for hosting TV shows in the both the UK and US, including SM:TV Live with Ant and Dec, Stars in Their Eyes and So You Think You Can Dance Now. She also recently covered for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled show.
And the 47-year-old could be in line to replace long-term host Holly Willoughby on This Morning, writes The Mirror.
Next week, Cat will be joining Rylan Clark and others on the ITV sofa which could lead to a permanent spot on the iconic blue sofa.
A source has said Cat is a 'seasoned pro' who ITV bosses have been keen to get on the show for quite some time. They also claimed she "takes live TV in her stride and is really witty and personable with guests".
The source told The Sun on Wednesday: "She is comfortable interviewing both popstars and politicians, so if it goes well she could be a much more permanent solution to Holly leaving. Cat would be a safe captain to steady the ship." It comes after Holly left the show unexpectedly over a month ago due to an alleged kidnap and murder plot against her.
Cat and her husband decided to move to back to the UK from Los Angeles in 2020 after having a traumatic experience with gun violence.
Cat is married to comedian Patrick Kielty and they share two sons together, Milo, four, and James, two. The family was living in sunny California when Patrick and Milo were caught up in a terrifying mall shooting a few years ago.
The pair were shopping in the Century City Mall in LA when FBI agents started ordering shoppers to take cover because there was a shooter on the loose.
