And I’m a woman of colour, so with us being a lesbian couple on the show, we have a lot to educate people on. “The messages that me and Mollie got when the story first started were insane. It made us so proud to be that lesbian couple that everybody could try and relate to.
So I actually would be heartbroken if they did break up, because I think they’re a great pairing.” Tanisha is right to be fearful though, as a potential new love interest confesses their feelings for Asha – it’s her paramedic friend and mentor, Isla (Emily Dowson). “Asha feels a responsibility to let Isla know she has a girlfriend,” says Tanisha. “And that’s why Asha wants them all to sort of hang out – to make sure Isla’s aware that Asha’s in a
