Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) decide to get the Rovers Return Inn back no matter what in latest Coronation Street spoilers. Jenny and Carla Barlow (Alison King) try and fail to persuade Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) to hand over Stephen Ried’s (Todd Boyce) journal, leaving them at a loss with how to hack into his laptop. When downtrodden Jenny returns home, Daisy tells her not to give up telling her that she deserves a chunk of money considering what she went through with Stephen.
Wanting to help Jenny out, Daisy breaks into the Platt house and searches for the journal herself. But when Audrey arrives home, Daisy’s forced to hide upstairs. Meanwhile, Jenny approaches Carla and asks her if she’ll lend her some money so that she can apply for a mortgage and buy the Rovers back.
Later on, Jenny and Daisy tell Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) they’re going to the bank to secure a loan and submit a sealed bid to get their pub back, but it might be too late as the local developers, Waterfords have also put in an offer. Have Jenny and Daisy done enough to get their pub back? Also on the cobbles, Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) promises his dad, Sarge Bailey (Ram John Holder) he’ll have his money in no time. So when Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) arrives with the cash he owes Ed, Sarge assumes it’s for him - and not for Tony (Sean Cernow).
When Tony sees Ed splashing the cash, he threatens him, telling him to get his money by tomorrow. When Ed is unable to pay his debt, he decides to try and flee the street to spend Christmas with Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) in Birmingham. With his bags packed, Ed opens the front door, only to come face-to-face with Tony.
