He exited Coronation Street back in 2004, but actor Adam Rickitt is no stranger to our TV screens over the years.
The soap star has since appeared in both Hollyoaks and Doctors, and also ventured into other career paths outside of acting. Adam, 45, is nearly unrecognisable 20 years after his Corrie exit, with the actor having swapped his long blonde locks for a cropped brunette style. He portrayed heartthrob Nick Tisley on the ITV soap from 1997 to 1999, and then again from 2002 until 2004.
Nick is the eldest son of Corrie icon Gail Platt (Helen Worth).
The role is now played by actor Ben Price. When Adam first exited the soap in 1999, he briefly pursued a career in music. He signed a six-album deal with Polydor Records, although he only released one album called Good Times.
He soon returned to Corrie for a 2-year stint, but left for good in 2004. Adam then turned his back on both acting and singing, going on to venture into politics. He was approved as a prospective parliamentary candidate for the Conservative Party in 2005, but was ultimately unsuccessful in launching a political career.
Opening up about his brief political career, Adam previously told OK!: "I dabbled with the idea of becoming a politician. I thought maybe all the showbiz stuff was what was making me feel this way, but I quickly realised that politicians are just ugly actors." The star returned to TV screens in 2007, as he joined the cast of Australian soap Shortland Street as Kieran Mitchell. He left the show in 2010.
From 2017 until 2020 Adam appeared in Hollyoaks as Kyle Kelly. He's also starred in Doctors of three separate occasions, taking on roles in 2001, 2016 and 2023. Clearly a man of many talents, Adam now runs the micro-bar Dexter & Jones in
