Cole Sprouse reveals how often he talks to ‘Big Daddy’ co-star Adam Sandler: We’ve ‘had some drinks’

“I hadn’t seen him for quite a long time, and we just sat and talked and had some drinks for an hour at the after-party.”He noted that Sandler taking the time to talk to him at the event was, “So unnecessary, because it [was] his day — he really didn’t need to do that. But that’s just kind of the guy he is.”He added: “He’s very grounded, and he’s always been that kind of dude, from what I recall.”“Big Daddy” follows Sonny (Sandler), a slacker who is shocked to find that he seemingly has a 5-year-old son, Julian (played by both Cole and his twin, Dylan Sprouse).
Sandler isn’t Cole’s only famous onscreen dad, since he also played Ross’ (David Schwimmer) son, Ben, on “Friends.” On the CW’s pulpy show “Riverdale,” he played Jughead Jones, the son of FP Jones (“Scream” star Skeet Ulrich), too. Cole has a closer relationship with Sandler than his other former TV dad, Schwimmer.
He recently said that he hasn’t spoken to the “Friends” cast since his time on the show. “Friends has become now such an iconic thing, this entity,” the Disney Channel child star told People.“But I was only really on it for 10 episodes!
