After stepping in as the new host of This Morning on Monday, 11 March alongside Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard, all eyes have been on Cat Deeley. The TV presenter, who rose to fame when she was just 21 years old as the co-host of SM:TV Live, has spent over two decades on our screens. With 26 years’ experience working in the world of TV, Cat, 47, is no stranger to being in front of the camera and has refreshingly opened up about her views on ageing while in the public eye.
“Getting older is, after all, a complete privilege,” she told Grazia earlier this year. “That, to me, is amazing. I’m into wellness in the sense that I’m into taking care of my body.” As a self-confessed follower of wellness, it’s clear that Cat pays attention to her lifestyle habits, and the TV personality has opened up about how she likes to remain as healthy as possible.
To ensure that she starts the day off on the best foot, Cat tucks into a green juice - something Meghan Markle is a fan of - made up of celery, cucumber, lemon and ginger juice. If not, you’ll find her drinking some hot water with lemon to facilitate digestion. If green juices, or smoothies, are something that you’d like to give a go, this Hamlyn All Colour Cookery: 200 Juices & Smoothies, £5.03 here, is filled with 200 smoothie and juice recipes to help get more vitamins and minerals into your diet.
Meanwhile, Deliciously Ella’s Smoothies & Juices: Bite-size Collection, £10.99 here, is a mini pocket book with 30 mouthwatering juice and smoothie recipes. The mum-of-two also uses her mornings to practise yoga. Despite admitting that she’s “not naturally” flexible, Cat has been doing yoga for the past 25 years.
