A Scots baby died of a rare disease days after doctors diagnosed him with a viral infection and sent him home from hospital.

A person has been rushed to hospital after a horror car smash during rush hour on a Scots road this morning.
The incident happened on Friday January 12 at Ormiston Road in Tranent, East Lothian, between a van and a car.
Several police cars, fire service vehicles and ambulances were spotted at the scene. It is unclear how serious the person's injuries are.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a van and a car on the A6093 near the junction with Ormiston Road around 8am on Friday, 12 January.
"One person has been taken to hospital and recovery has been arranged for the vehicles."

A witness at the scene told Edinburgh Live: "Three fire units, at least, are in attendance and at least four ambulance units.
"One ambulance left about 10 minutes ago with blue's and two's on."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
