Lulu turned 75 this year and to celebrate her milestone, the Scots legend announced a five-date tour for 2024. The Shout icon is hitting the road for her 'Champagne For Lulu' tour, which will kick off in April in Glasgow.
And now, the much-loved singing sensation has laid on another treat for fans as she enjoys her big birthday year, announcing two intimate warm-up gigs ahead of the main event.
The Glasgow-born superstar has hand-picked Glenrothes and Aberdeen for her warm-up shows, ahead of performing to the rest of the UK.
Because there's no place like home, the wee girl from Lennoxtown has never forgotten her roots, and warming-up ‘at home' was a must, as she comes to Glenrothes on April 6 and Aberdeen on April 7.
The ‘Champagne For Lulu' UK tour includes six spectacular live dates in April, kicking-off in her hometown of Glasgow, and touring through Manchester, Southampton, Gateshead, Birmingham; culminating at The London Palladium.
But not until she's gone home for her special warm up shows in Glenrothes and Aberdeen.
Transcending generations with a lifetime of global success, which boasts accolades including being a Eurovision winner, a Bond Theme singer, releasing the biggest selling record in the US (‘To Sir With Love' 1967), and one of the first ever pop artists to perform behind the Iron Curtain in Poland….not to mention receiving an OBE, opening the closing ceremony for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, reaching No1 with the biggest ever boyband since The Beatles, and still going strong as she performed two-nights at the Hollywood Bowl this Summer - Lulu continues to be at the absolute forefront of captivating live entertainment to this very day.
