Five months after Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot by Alec Baldwin on the set of the indie Western, the Oscars tonight acknowledged her passing and the tragedy that caused it.

The family of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was killed in a tragic accident on the set of Rust, are attempting to evacuate Ukraine.

Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Maksim Chemerkovskiy has been reunited with his wife Peta Murgatroyd after a horrendous ordeal in his native Ukraine. Maksim, 42, was seen embracing his wife after making it through passport control at Los Angeles Airport. Before he made it through the airport, Peta, 35, was seen nervously awaiting her husband’s return.

Sean Penn, 61, continued to chronicle his time in Ukraine on Monday, Feb. 28,  tweeting what he and his colleagues witnessed while waking to the Polish border. The Oscar-winner shared a photo of himself walking down a long road with his luggage in tow and what appeared to be miles of cars lining the road. “Myself & two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road. Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car, their only possession of value,” he wrote.

Co-founder of Factory Records and renowned humanitarian Alan Erasmus has told friends 'I'm not having this' before vowing to fly out to war-torn Ukraine.
