Greater Manchester weather forecast with plenty of rain and high wind

People all across Greater Manchester have woken up today with a grim start to the week as overnight rain has left the ground wet and temperatures feeling especially cold.
While temperatures will pick up slightly throughout the afternoon, it will feel colder due to wind speeds reaching as high as 15mph with the Met Office providing consistent warnings for rain throughout the day.
According to the Met Office said: "Today, it will be mainly cloudy with some patchy light rain. Later in the afternoon, longer spells of rain may reach in from the north. A breezy and rather mild day. Tonight will start under cloudy skies with some spells of light rain likely too. Longer and heavier spells of rain will move in from the west through the second part of the night. Breezy and mild."

The morning will start of with a high 67 per cent chance of rain and the temperature dipping to 9C but will feel like 7C accompanied by a moderate breeze coming from the east at 13mph. Things will begin to settle down slight by 10am with the rain expecting to stop for an hour.
By lunchtime, the weather will take another turn for the worse as the rain picks up again with a moderate breeze of 14mph carrying it. Fortunately, the temperature will begin to rise as the afternoon goes ahead reaching 10C at 12pm but feeling like 9C.
Throughout the rest of the afternoon, the rain will begin to ease up significantly with only a maximum of a 33 per cent chance of precipitation by 4pm. Unfortunately, there will be very little chance of sun throughout the afternoon with grey clouds dominating the sky accompanied by a moderate breeze peaking at 15mph.
