A balmy spring is set to continue this weekend in Greater Manchester with temperatures higher than in parts of Spain in some areas. The Met Office has forecasted more bright sunshine and blue skies with highs of 15C in Manchester on Saturday, compared to 12C in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
On Sunday, the mercury is set to rise to 15C again here, while Madrid will see similar temperatures. The warm weather follows a glorious Bank Holiday in Britain, where conditions remained throughout the past week.
In Manchester, forecasters predict a cloudier start to Saturday morning (April 23), but bright sunshine will come through later in the afternoon, particularly from 4pm until 8pm.

In contrast, Sunday morning (April 24) will start off sunny from as early as 6am, right through until lunchtime. From 12pm, it may become cloudy with sunny intervals for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
While it's set to be another pleasant weekend, the Met Office warns of a 'brisk wind' which may make it feel a little colder. Looking ahead to the start of next week, temperatures are set to become cooler, with night frost on the way.

Low cloud and hill fog will give way to a mostly dry morning with bright spells. Cloud will bubble up producing a small risk of a shower around early afternoon, although a sunnier end to the day is likely. Breezy. Maximum temperature 17C.
Tonight:
Evening sunshine will be followed by a dry night across the region with clear spells. However, patches of low cloud and some hill fog are likely to return. Remaining breezy. Minimum temperature 5C.
