Ben Shephard appeared to want to change the subject as quickly as possible following his co-star Susanna Reid's quip about a 'quickie' during their Good Morning Britain reunion. The pair were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Thursday (October 12) after they were last seen walking the red carpet together at the Pride of Britain Awards over the weekend.
With the help of Kate Garraway, the pair were bringing viewers the latest news headlines, interviews and debates on the hot topics which included the latest infestation of bed bugs which are a major issue in France.
Ben, 48, told GMB viewers: "There are bed-hopping bed bugs out there. France particularly are struggling." He then asked: "With that being the case, should you and your partner scrub up before getting down to romance?"

A baffled Susanna responded: "What? In case they've just come on the Eurostar and they might be covered in the blood-sucking mites?
