'Get off the street': Video shows police battle to control huge group of youths after house party 'got out of hand'

Video footage has emerged showing police attempting to control dozens of teenagers who spilled out onto a busy main road after reports a house party 'got out of hand'.
Shocked residents in Castleton, Rochdale, filmed the huge gathering as officers from Greater Manchester Police raced to the scene in driving rain and storms on Saturday night.
As reported in the M.E.N., officers are said to have responded to multiple 999 calls from the village.

One witness - who described the resulting situation as 'mayhem' and 'chaos' - claimed more than a hundred youths were involved and arrests were made by Greater Manchester Police, although this hasn't been confirmed.
It's understood youths began to gather on Charlton Street, the new-build estate off Manchester Road near St Martin's Church, before spilling out onto Manchester Road, stopping buses as police ordered them away.
The footage shows three police cars parked near to a bus stop as screaming youths mill around.
Groups of them run up the street towards Trows Lane and the motorway bridge as police officers stand in the road on their radios.
There appears to be an altercation near a wall, with a police officer trying to usher a girl away.
As screams fill the air and the rain pours down, officers walk up the road and the footage shows groups of youths running up Manchester Road in the direction of the former George and Dragon pub.
One officer is heard to shout 'get off the street' as a double-decker bus attempts to get past.
Officers then run back towards Charlton Street to confront another youth as sirens fill the air and more police officers arrive.
