Gavin and Stacey star Mathew Horne has become a father to a son and was seen with his little one over the weekend for the first time since becoming a dad. Mathew, 45, is married to set designer Celina Bassili and according to The Sun the pair reportedly became parents shortly after they got married in 2021 though they kept their exciting news under wraps. In pictures obtained by The Sun, Mathew can be seen pushing a pram while Celina cradles a baby.
Speaking to the publication, a source said: “Mathew is a brilliant dad and he and Celina love being parents.” The source added that the actor “kept the news quiet” because he prefers to keep his live “out of the spotlight”, though his Gavin and Stacey co-stars are in the loop about him becoming a dad. “All his Gavin & Stacey co-stars know about him being a dad, including James Corden and Joanna Page,” they explained. “They all have kids so you can imagine the talk on set for the Christmas special is going to centre a lot on their kids.” OK! has contacted representatives for Mathew Horne for comment.
