The biggest family day out of the summer in Trafford is now less than one month away. Trafford council and Lancashire Cricket Club are again joining forces to deliver Trafford Live on Sunday July 7. This year’s free event is a special family-friendly festival, with Trafford celebrating its 50th birthday as a metropolitan borough and Lancashire Cricket incorporating the Vitality Blast fixture against Worcestershire Rapids (2.30pm start).
Entertainment, activities, sport and culture are among the attractions, with Trafford Live promising something for everyone. Trafford mayor Amy Whyte said: “I’m very excited. Trafford Live is great fun and it’s fantastic to see so many families there enjoying it. This year’s event promises to be another great occasion and I look forward to meeting you there.”

The joint festival will be held within the grounds of the town hall on Talbot Road and the Fan Village at Emirates Old Trafford and will be open for all to attend. Visitors can experience a range of events, activities and displays which will all be designed to showcase the borough’s sports, history and culture offering, with a bit of everything for both the young and old to enjoy.
The Emirates Old Trafford Fan Village will be free to enter, with tickets for the Vitality Blast fixture priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors. There is also a specific ticket office for Trafford residents with tickets for kids available from £1 and just £10 for adults.
As part of Trafford’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the winner of a 50th birthday card competition will be announced. The birthday cards created by the children will also be on display during the event.
