With the COVID-19 pandemic making in-person graduation ceremonies impossible, several organizations have put together virtual celebrations for both high school and college seniors.
Though those graduating have been forced to miss a major milestone, they now have the opportunity to graduate in the presence of their favorite celebrities and hear commencement speeches from the likes of Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Will Ferrell and more.

While we're all stuck at home on quarantine mode due to the coronavirus pandemic, Michelle Obama has decided to gift students graduating this year a special virtual graduation ceremony. Dear Class of 2020 will be hosted by the former First Lady and will include commencement speeches by her, Barack Obama, BTS and Lady Gaga amongst several others. As per Variety, the star power has doubled up now with the inclusion of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato and more.

Facebook and Instagram on Friday celebrated the Class of 2020 with a graduation event streaming on both social media platforms. Oprah Winfrey delivered the commencement speech, while many top names were in attendance — via video feed — such as Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X and Miley Cyrus, who performed an emotional track for the occasion.

Oprah Winfrey was among the stars who surprised fans when she stopped by John Krasinski’s popular web series Some Good News (SGN) on Sunday (May 3, 2020), as he was hosting a virtual graduation for the Class of 2020.
John Krasinski surprised graduates from the class of 2020 with the opportunity to ask questions of Steven Spielberg, Jon Stewart, Oprah Winfrey and Malala Yousafzai during the latest episode of Some Good News. Krasinski first had a chat with several graduating students via a Zoom call and also allowed several to give their graduation "speech." He then surprised four of them by allowing them to ask questions of the aforementioned quartet of famous faces.
