Former NBCU TV Entertainment Chair Jeff Gaspin Joins Netflix as VP of Unscripted Series

EXCLUSIVE: Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story), Uche Agada (Rise) and Dane DiLiegro (Prey, American Horror Stories) have joined Mindy Kaling‘s Netflix series, set in the world of pro basketball, in recurring roles.

Code 8.Directed by Jeff Chan and based on the 2016 short film of the same name, Code 8 follows Connor Reed (Robbie Amell) who uses his superhuman abilities to help a group of criminals in order to raise money to help his sick mother.The first film, after a brief run in cinemas, was released on Netflix in 2020. A sequel, titled Code 8: Part 2, was released on the platform in February 2024.At the time of writing (March 6), a sequel to Code 8: Part 2 has not been officially announced.

Aramide Tinubu Loosely based on the experiences of real-life porn sensation Rocco Siffredi, known as the “Italian Stallion,” Netflix’s “Supersex” isn’t actually very sexy at all. Instead, the seven-part series, created by Francesca Manieri, is a tale about family, masculinity and toxic bonds. While the show, which stars Alessandro Borghi in the lead role, has some interesting chapters, the surrealist elements — including some hallucinatory moments and the bizarre way some of the sex scenes are filmed — make it more than a biographical account.

Mainstay Entertainment and Paradigm have signed Tisha Campbell for representation in all areas.

Andrew Scott stars as the infamous Tom Ripley in Netflix’s new limited series “Ripley,” which premieres on April 4. Based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling novels, the series begins when a wealthy man hires Ripley to travel to Italy and convince his vagabond son to return home. In accepting the job, this marks “the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder,” per the release.

Andrew Scott plays grifter Tom Ripley in the new Netflix limited series Ripley, which is set to premiere on April 4. The new trailer, which you can view in the video above, shows the extent that Ripley will go through to get the job done.

Aside from Bacon, they join previously announced cast member Jennifer Nettles.

Nick Robinson (“Maid,” “A Teacher”), Diana Silvers (“Booksmart,” “Space Force”), Lucas Till (“X-Men” film franchise, “MacGyver”), Lamar Johnson (“The Last of Us,” “Brother”), Aisling Franciosi (“The Nightingale,” “God’s Creatures”), and Natalia del Riego (“Hail Mary,” “Promised Land”) have all joined the series. They will star alongside previously announced star Lena Headey as well as Gillian Anderson.

The duo join previously announced series leads Matthew Macfadyen and Michael Shannon in the show, which will tell the story of U.S. President James Garfield (Shannon) and his assassination by Charles Guiteau (Macfadyen).
