Erik ten Hag has paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton, describing him as a legend and a giant.
The news of Charlton's passing aged 86 was announced on Saturday afternoon and it left the football world in mourning.
The tributes to Charlton, who scored 249 goals in 758 games for United and is the second-highest goalscorer in the club's history after Wayne Rooney, poured in following the announcement and flowers were laid at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag spoke to MUTV ahead of kick-off and said: "Our thoughts are, of course, with his family and wife. Our thoughts are for them and the football world, but not only that, the whole world is losing a big personality, a legend, a giant.
"He was that on the pitch, but also off the pitch. I think he was an example for all of us. When you achieve such high-performance levels and you remain so humble, that's a big example for all of us.
"At Manchester United, you always have to win, but I think he set this standard as a Man United player, what he achieved, he's an example and I'm sure for all of us, it will be inspiration, not only to have a win, but also with his standards."
Ten Hag added about his team selection: "Football is an internal competition and you have to create that as a manager. Scott [McTominay], he played such good games, but especially of course the last one."
