Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has shared how her on-screen proposal mimis that of a sweet family tale as Belle Dingle gets engaged. The character is set to pop the question to her other half Tom King after she turned him down earlier this year.
Back in October, during a special all-Dingle episode that saw Lydia stage a lock-in in The Woolpack to get to the bottom of who killed her rapist Craig Reed, it was revealed that Belle was hiding something from her family when she revealed Tom had asked her to marry him - and that she'd said no.
During her interrogation, Belle revealed how Tom had popped the question in a romantic proposal. But as Mandy rushed to congratulate her and look at the ring, Belle told how she had rejected him. However, she failed to tell her family about what happened after she turned Tom down. Her boyfriend didn't take the news well, assuming it meant she didn't love him. And Tom soon turned angry with Belle as he attempted to storm out.

Belle tried to stop Tom from leaving but he violently pushed Belle, shouting "Leave me alone" as Belle hit her head on the table, leaving her on the floor shaken and bleeding. Tom was quick to apologise, insisting he would never do it again and he'd never want to hurt her.
As he begged for another chance, Belle insisted it was "okay", saying: "I've already forgotten it". Since then, the pair have brushed over what has happened and have continued to build their relationship with Belle wanting to return the favour and pop the question. Peter Debruge Chief Film Critic Wim Wenders describes himself as “a man of habits,” which helps to explain the respect he shows the routine-driven lead character of his latest narrative feature, “Perfect Days.” The gentle drama, which takes place in Japan (it was selected as the country’s official Oscar submission this year), focuses on a Tokyo craftsman who spends his days cleaning the city’s public toilets. Routine is central to Wenders’ life as well, and it’s thanks to one of Wenders’ rituals that he found the subject for a second feature film he premiered at Cannes last May: “Anselm,” a 3D portrait of the controversial German artist Anselm Kiefer more than 30 years in the making.
