Emmerdale's Danny Miller says it's 'tedious' as he addresses hard part of Aaron change to play

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has admitted playing the bad boy can be 'tedious' after his return to the ITV soap as Aaron Dingle sparked complaints. The actor reprised his much-loved role back in October after bowing out of the long-running show after 13 years almost two years earlier.
The actor spoke out in tears when he shared his decision to leaveEmmerdale at the end of 2021 in order to take part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. He did, however, make a brief return in October 2022 as Aaron attended the funeral of his little sister, Liv Flaherty.
But Aaron's bags were quickly packed his bags and returned to Italy to his partner, Marco, due to his mum Chas' affair with Al Chapman. He felt like he had no choice but to leave as he was forced to keep his mum's 'dirty secret'. However, Aaron was dragged back to the Dales by his uncle Cain Dingle and appeared more angry than ever before.

His change of character has left fans flocking to social media to complain and now, Danny himself has admitted that he may be over that side of his character, who has recently softened following his mum Chas' cancer diagnosis.
"For years, I was like, 'I want to be the bad boy'. He was always the misunderstood, angry kind of thing, but it was, 'I want to be the bad boy. I want to say things that shock actors in line runs and rehearsals.' You start to play it and you start to see the audience reaction from it and then you go 'Actually, I don’t like this.'"
