Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle is set to be hit with a health bombshell in upcoming scenes and the news left Danny Miller fearing he'd be 'killed off' after returning to the show last year. As viewers of the ITV soap know, Aaron's mum Chas is currently facing her breast cancer diagnosis.
A lump was found by Dr Liam Cavanagh as they enjoyed a romantic liaison and after further tests, it was revealed she had cancer like her late mum Faith Dingle, who died in 2022. After a break away ahead of her treatment, Chas returned to the village and was seen revealing to her family the cause of her cancer is the faulty BRCA2 gene.
It left her son Aaron as well as brothers Cain and Caleb blindsided to learn there’s a high likelihood they could have it too and further rocked with the realisation they could pass it on to their children. But Aaron initially refused to undergo the test.

He did later have a change of heart and next week in Emmerdale, he gets the results. At their respective houses, Cain, Caleb and Aaron prepare themselves to open their results. Moira’s bursting with relief when Cain tests negative for the faulty BRCA2 gene. But Cain feels irrationally guilty about his good luck as he reflects on all Chas has had to deal with.
