Emmerdale New Year drama for Dingles with Moira's confession about past, a brutal fight and wedding bells

Just when you thought the Dingles have had enough to deal with in 2023, the drama for the clan is set to continue in the New Year in Emmerdale. This year, the ITV soap's famous family has faced plenty of trials and tribulations, recently seeing the return of Aaron and the shocking death of Craig Reed after her raped Lydia.
Going into 2024, the much-loved group are set to find themselves back at the forefront with a confessional from Moira and a brutal fight between two of the warring family members but there is also set to be some lighter moments with wedding bells ringing.
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw teased the Manchester Evening News and other press with what's to come, starting with Lydia and Sam. "Lydia, she's still struggling after her horrific ordeal at the hands of Craig and we'll see that continue," she said. "Lydia and Sam will find out what happened during Super Soap Week with Kim [Tate].

"That'll all come out, how is Lydia going to cope with that news? How will Sam cope with that news? It is really going to test Lydia and Kim's friendship which I know we all absolutely love and we'll see if they can get their friendship back on track. Similarly for Sam and Lydia, are they ever going to get through this? Hopefully, the New Year will bring new hope for them."
