The family of a dad who was stabbed to death in Atherton said 'he was loved unconditionally' in a heartbreaking tribute following his death.
Police were called to reports of an unconscious man at a flat on Samuel Street just after 6pm on Friday (November 17). A murder investigation was launched after he tragically died.
Detectives believe he was stabbed. Today (Monday), Greater Manchester Police named the victim as Paul Marsh.

Paying tribute to him, in a statement issued through the force, his family said: "Paul was our son, brother, partner and father and he was loved unconditionally.
"Paul’s death is beyond comprehension, and we cannot believe that he has died in such a violent and tragic way. Paul will be remembered for many things not least, his laughter, loyalty, and sense of fun.
"Paul will not be forgotten, and our world is a sadder place without him in it."
Following the incident, a 22-year-old man was arrested on the scene on suspicion of murder. He was released and faces no further action.
Police confirmed today that a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday evening. He remains in custody for questioning by detectives.
A cordon was put in place as police carried out investigations on Samuel Street on Friday. The street, on an estate, is a mixture of terraced housing and flats, with a witness saying the 'whole block' was cordoned off for 'forensics' at the time.
Investigations focused on just one flat in the complex. One source claimed the man involved was attacked inside the flat, but that wasn't confirmed by force detectives.
