Emmerdale fans think they have worked out Caleb Miligan's plan as he continues to make cryptic calls on the ITV soap after earning the Dingle family's trust. Caleb, played by Will Ash, appeared in the village late last year claiming to be Chas and Cain Dingle's long-lost brother. Chas was instantly won over by her estranged sibling as she welcomed him into the family with open arms but Cain remained suspicious, unwilling to trust the newcomer.
However, Caleb soon earned the family's trust by getting Cain, who had pleaded guilty for Al Chapman's murder despite it actually being his son Kyle Winchester responsible, out of prison. While Caleb has since helped Kyle with expensive and fancy lawyers with the young boy being granted bail while the police decide what to do next. Only recently, Cain has finally started to let his guard down with Caleb and even allowed him to spend time with his son Kyle.
However, it looks like Cain had a right to be initially suspicious of Caleb because Caleb has been making suspicious phone calls to a mystery person. Only recently, he said: "It's me, can you talk? Yeah, it looks like we're finally making headway. So we keep reeling him in until we get exactly what we want!" While earlier this week, Caleb informed Cain that he is planning on taking over Home Farm but the latter was left wary as he questioned his motives after previously claiming to only be interested in reconnecting with his family.
And during Friday's episode, Caleb, who ITV soap bosses have confirmed is keeping a secret, made yet another cryptic phone call. He said: "How's it going? Yeah, I've just spoken to Cain... he's none the wiser, relax, it's all good.
