Emmerdale fans were left emotional by a comment from Charity Dingle following the loss of one of the show's stars. During the latest trip to the Dales on Monday night (January 8), Charity was seen getting acquainted with Oscar, the grandson she didn't know existed until last week.
Her son Ryan Stocks and his girlfriend Gail Loman had a son together more than a decade ago but gave him up for adoption. But he has since come back into their lives after he was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. The news left his adopted mother Sophie reaching out to Gail and Ryan to be tested with Gail later proving to be a match.

And during the first episode of the week, Oscar made another unannounced return and Charity, Gail and Ryan all worried that his adoptive mum Sophie wouldn't be happy.
