If you’ve been paying attention to all the online chatter around Warner Bros.’ “The Flash,” you know there have been a lot of changes to the film, and it’s been an evolving movie as the DCEU has tried to evolve and figure itself out in the last two years. Because as you know, “The Flash” started production when the DCEU was in full swing—replete with cameos like Henry Cavill’s Superman—but the film is now under the aegis of James Gunn’s DC Studios, and it’s been reported that Cavill’s cameo was nixed and some of the other connective tissue to the past has been purportedly scrapped.

He’s also about to embark on a worldwide press tour for his final movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” The writer-director recently told Rolling Stone that his “Superman” movie isn’t going to feel like a “Guardians” movie. “I learned so much from making these movies,” Gunn said about his Marvel franchise. “But it’s not like ‘Superman’ is going to have exactly the same vibe as a ‘Guardians’ movie. It’s actually quite different.” What the tone of Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” will be remains to be seen. The tentpole is focusing on a younger iteration of the superhero than the one last seen on the big screen played by Henry Cavill. After his “Guardians Vol. 3” press duties are over, Gunn will transition full time to his new gig as the co-head of DC Studios with Peter Safran. “Superman: Legacy” will kick off the duo’s new DC Universe, which will also include films featuring Supergirl and Batman and Robin.

Apple Original Films has announced that Ridley Scott’s upcoming historical epic “Napoleon” will have an exclusive theatrical release partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment on Wednesday, November 22, before streaming globally on Apple TV+. They haven’t announced a streaming date yet but we suspect it will be around Christmas.

Eiza González is celebrating her Mexican heritage with a new partnership. The Hollywood star revealed that tequila “is a deep part” of her culture, and wants to honor it by partnering with Casa Azul to launch premium organic tequila.“It was important for me not to be just another celebrity face of a brand, but to partner with a family-led business that celebrates modern Mexico and gives back to my people,” she said in a joint statement with the brand.Eiza showed her love for Casa Azul back in 2018 at the Oscars, when she took a shot from a shoe filled with tequila.
