Fans react to first look at Henry Cavill’s final ‘Witcher’ season: “He can never be replaced”

A list of actors rumored to be in the running to star in James Gunn and Peter Safran‘s Superman: Legacy is beginning to emerge.

Filmmaker James Gunn (“Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3“) is kicking-off his reimagined DC Comics cinematic universe with a reboot of the “Superman” franchise as the first big theatrical output from the newly formed DC Studios. While “Superman: Legacy” hopes to give audiences Gunn’s take on the Man of Steel, we’ve been anticipating the new casting for the reboot after it was announced that Henry Cavill would be stepping down as the main incarnation of the DC hero.

Daniel Craig brought his James Bond journey to an end in 2021 after the release of his fifth and final movie, No Time To Die. His 15-year tenure as 007 has made him the longest-serving actor to play the hero, but now the anticipation around who will replace him is palpable. Fans are dying to know who is going to take his place, and they'll likely not find out for at least a year, at this point.

Henry Cavill will recruit with director Guy Ritchie on his upcoming new “action-packed” film.The as yet untitled action thriller, which is set to begin filming this September, will see Cavill also joined by Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González.All three have appeared in films directed by Ritchie previously. Both Cavill and González have recently filmed upcoming film The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare with the director, while Gyllenhaal was the lead of Ritchie’s The Covenant.

James Bond author Charlie Higson has said that any actors rumoured to be taking on the role of 007 on the big screen have already been rejected.Higson has written several Young Bond novels and was recently commissioned by the Ian Fleming Publication to pen new Bond novel, On His Majesty’s Secret Service.In a new interview with PA, Higson was asked if he knew who would be replacing Daniel Craig as Bond on the big screen following the actor’s departure in 2021’s No Time To Die.“As soon as the papers say, ‘So and so is being considered as the next James Bond’, you know that they’re not going to be the next James Bond, you know that they’ve been rejected,” he said.“[The studio] play their cards very close to the chest. A lot of times they really surprise people.

“The Covenant” and the long-delayed “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre,” the suddenly prolific British genre filmmaker has a new project set up by Black Bear International. The new film, with a title and plot under-wraps, is being prepped for buyers at Cannes and will mark a class reunion of sorts.

Black Bear International already has one buzzy film at the Cannes market this year with “Shell,” a thriller starring Elisabeth Moss, Kate Hudson, and Kaia Gerber. Now they also have likely the biggest-budget project for sale on the Croisette this year with a new Guy Ritchie actioner that has Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González attached to star.

James Bond franchise in No Time To Die. Last year's 60th-anniversary celebrations for the franchise came and went without any news on casting the next 007. Nevertheless, rumours have been circling certain stars like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who reportedly auditioned for Barbara Broccoli.

While mystery still surrounds the identity of the next James Bond – or exactly how producers will get round the necessary change of narrative required after 007’s last outing – fans are now convinced they have uncovered which actor will be scooping up the licence to kill.

The first teaser trailer for The Witcher season three is finally here, and Netflix also revealed the debut date for parts one and two!

Last year, fans of “The Witcher” series from Netflix were shocked to learn that the show’s lead Henry Cavill would be moving on and exiting the fantasy streaming project.
