EastEnders star 'quits after four years' as BBC show airs another exit

EastEnders star Tanya Franks is set to quit the BBC soap after four years in this week’s episodes. The soap actress plays Rainie Cross who fans will see leave Albert Square with her baby Roland. Rainie's marriage to Stuart Highway has been in trouble since the birth of their son, as Stuart has suffered with post-natal depression.
As the couple worked to sort out their issues, Stuart made the decision to give Roland to his surrogate mother, Bernie. Stuart encourages her to take Bernie’s deal and leave him, but Rainie gives him one last chance to join her and live with his son. If he does not, she threatens to leave Watford for good. While Rainie holds out hope, Stuart doesn’t arrive at Bernie and Mitch’s to join his family.
