It's a week of shocks and secrets in EastEnders after Phil Mitchell's (Steve McFadden) prison feud turns deadly. Phil has made a serious enemy on the inside and he fears for his life as inmate Craig turns up the pressure and a fight breaks out. Later, DI Keeble (Alison Newman) visits to tell Phil he won’t be alive much longer unless he takes her deal to turn informant.
Craig warns Phil that he dies tomorrow, but Phil still insists that he is no grass. When Sharon (Letitia Dean) visits, Phil gives her five letters for her to pass on to his family. Later, Craig and his men come for Phil.
Is this the end of Phil Mitchell? Elsewhere, Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner, is sure that Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Singh Deol) is ashamed of her. She tests him by kissing him in the cafe, but when Suki walks in, Kheerat backs off. Furious, Stacey declares it’s all over.
Later, Eve Unwin (Heather Pearce) berates Kheerat for his behaviour. Can he find a way to prove his love? Meanwhile, Mitch Baker's (Roger Griffiths) brother Avery (Omar Lye-Fook) causes a stir in the market when he arrives in his flash car. However, Mitch isn't impressed to see his estranged brother in the Vic.
Avery quickly impresses Mitch’s family, and it seems that Mitch isn’t only one one who isn't happy about the reunion. Reluctantly, Mitch later agrees to help Avery with a job after Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) talks him around. However, he's still suspicious.
So Mitch is furious to later discover the job is dodgy. The drama increases as Avery collapses. As the family wait for news, Avery’s sons, Felix and Finlay (Matthew Morrison and Ashley Byam), arrive.
