EastEnders' Jay star Jamie Borthwick cuddles baby niece as co-stars gush over adorable snap

EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick proudly introduced his baby niece to his fans on Wednesday, sending his co-stars wild for the adorable post.
The 28-year-old star, who plays grieving Jay Brown in the BBC soap, posted a gorgeous black-and-white photo to his socials, promising the newest member of the family lots of "laughs". "She don’t know how lucky she is I’m her uncle!," he joked.
"Nahh I don’t know how lucky I am she’s my Niece, welcome to the family RSC! We’re gonna have some laughs kid I tell ya!". Jamie's co-stars were quick to post their congratulations on the cute pic.
Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater, wrote, "Uncle j", while Honey Mitchell actress Emma Barton simply posted three love heart emojis. Castmate Tony Clay, who plays Albert Square's popular Callum Highway, commented, "Uncle Jamie! Congrats to you & the family brother! x".
James Farrer, who portrays Zack Hudson, added: "IT’S TIME. Wonderful times to come for you all my bruva." Amy Mitchell star Ellie Dadd also wrote, "Awwww congrats uncle Jamie" Jamie's happy post was a far cry from character Jay's mood at the moment, as he grieves for his late wife Lola Pearce, played by Danielle Harold, who tragically died after battling a brain tumour.
