A thug who set his XL Bully on a defenceless woman and encouraged it to attack her was among the criminals to be jailed this week. Liam Rainey took off his pet's muzzle and told it 'good dog, get her'.
Also starting a jail term is a businessman turned drug dealer who became involved in a huge cocaine conspiracy. A rapist who sprayed his victim with his aftershave prior to the attack was also jailed.
Prison terms are handed out to the most serious offenders. And Manchester Evening News court reporters are on the press bench to cover the big cases.
