David Moyes has thrown in a sneaky dig at former employers Manchester United while giving an assessment of his progress at West Ham.
The Scot replaced club hero Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm of United upon his retirement in 2013 but was sacked after just nine months for failing to replicate the standards set by his predecessor. United are now set to end a season without silverware for the fifth year in a row.
They also find themselves as underdogs in the race for a top-four spot, with West Ham keeping them company as outside challengers. That said, United are a place above Moyes’ Hammers and two points ahead with a game in hand.

The London club earned a place in the Europa League quarter-finals after notching a historic win over Sevilla last week as United were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage by Atletico Madrid. When questioned about his work at West Ham by Soccer AM , Moyes said he was "pleased" with how things are going while also hinting that those at Old Trafford did not give him enough time.
He said: “It's very difficult to please football supporters all the time. No matter what manager you are, there's always something you should be doing better, something you should be doing right.
"But I'd hope at the moment we're going in the right direction and West Ham would think this is something we're building on. I've got an idea how you build a club and how you get clubs better. I think I'm good at it - if given the opportunity. I hope I can do that at West Ham."
