Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, 60, has become the latest star to be eliminated from ITV's Dancing on Ice, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern.
They found themselves in the skate-off on the show on Sunday, 25 February, against Amber Davies and when it came down to the deciding vote, the judges decided Eddie would be the seventh pairing to leave the show, missing out on a place in next week's semi final show where stars taking part will be dancing twice.
This week's head judge Christopher Dean, who made the deciding vote, said that Amber brought the "fun" this week. Eddie leaves after skating with professional skating partner Vicky Ogden, 39, despite claiming that he felt "good, really good" following his "under pressure" skate-off performance.
The pair chose a graceful skate to Elton John's Rocket Man, whereas Amber opted for a high energy performance to Little Mix's smash hit, Power.
The former Olympic ski jumper joined the show, replacing Gogglebox's Stephen Lustig-Webb after an injury meant he had to pull himself from the competition. Fans stated their disappointment at seeing Eddie leave, taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - to voice their upset.
One said: "Eddie has been robbed of a place on dancing on ice. It’s a joke this show #DOI #DancingOnIce" while another agreed, sand said: "How come Eddie goes home when he skates on his own? Make it make sense." A third added their confusion: "Amber is carried around for the whole routine, Eddie skates on his own, lifts his partner etc.
- Amber goes through??" Fans of Amber were supportive though and added that they couldn't believe she was even in the skate-off again. One said: "Amber in the bottom two again - why?!" Now that Eddie has left the show, Adele
