Lorraine Kelly shares insight into personal life after defending ITV show absences

Lorraine Kelly has given a glimpse into her personal life after previously explaining the reason for her regular absences from her ITV show. The presenter has been at the helm of her own self-titled show on the network since 2010.
However, since the start of the year, a tongue-in-cheek X, formerly known as Twitter, account has emerged tracking when she is and isn't hosting her programme. Named ‘Where is Lorraine?’, the social media profile posts every day whether or not the TV star is hosting Lorraine, which airs weekdays every weekday from 9am before This Morning.
But there's also a 'Bonus Lorraine' theme if the 64-year-old is seen on other programmes. For example, while she was replaced by Ranvir Singh on her show on Friday (March 8) she did appear on Channel 4's The Last Leg that evening before making a live appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway over the weekend.

However, Lorraine previously spoke out about her reason for not always being present. Taking to X, Lorraine wrote at the end of January: "Morning and huge thanks to the wonderful @clbleakley for stepping in on Fridays so I can get back home." Lorraine, who lives in Glasgow, then added: "Great to see mum doing really well and I appreciate your kind messages."
Back in September, Lorraine revealed on her show that her mum, Anne, had "not been very well at all". And now, Lorraine has opened up about her beloved mother in a message to mark Mother's Day on Sunday (March 10).
