Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has had his fans swooning as he shared a suited and booted snap to Instagram alongside his wife. But he did make an error.
The actor, who is famed for playing Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, a role he has held for more than more years, took to the social media platform to pay tribute to his wife Emma Gleave on what appeared to be their anniversary.
It is reported that it was Simon's on-screen mum Beverley Callard, who played Liz McDonald on the cobbles, who introduced him to Emma on the show back in 2005. And as the saying goes, the rest is history as the happy couple tied the knot five years later in a lavish ceremony and have been together ever since, now with their three sons in tow.

In the sweet snap posted on Instagram, Simon could be seen dressed up in a suave tuxedo while his stunning wife, who is an actress and starred in Hollyoaks, opted for a floor-length gown that boasted a sparkly sweetheart neckline top and a soft pink tulle bottom. Her blonde tresses had been pulled up into an updo for what must have been a special celebration.
"13 years after I knew," Simon, 48, started the caption of his post. Sharing his pride, he added: "She’s got queues outside of her business waiting to eat the best food in town. So unbelievably proud of my angel."
But it appears as though the soap star took the phrase' time flies when you're having fun' quite literally as he quickly corrected his original caption, adding in the comment section: "18 yrs. Obvs having too much fun." And his fans and followers were quick to comment, both with support for Emma and to swoon over the Corrie favourite.
