Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd says 'this is fame' as he experiences 'dream' job away from ITV soap

Jack P Shepherd has been on Coronation Street for more than 20 years - but it wasn't until this weekend that he had a taste of his 'dream' job. The actor, who plays David Platt in the ITV soap, enjoyed a bit of work away from the cobbles.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday evening (April 30), Jack posted a picture of a dressing room door bearing his name. "Dream came true today," he posted, adding: "Finally did Catchphrase."
He filmed an episode of the ITV gameshow rebooted with Stephen Mulhern in 2013.
Jack then filmed inside his dressing room, with the soap star seen in the mirror sporting a black leather jacket and black skinny jeans. "This... This is fame," he added.

"Look at this, I have a fridge," Jack said as he opened the door. He then left the room and revealed how he even had his own loo. He filmed another sign on the door which read: "Jack P Shepherd Toilet."

Last month, Jack jokingly shared his annoyance after his long-time co-star William Roache, also known as Bill, dropped a huge clanger during their recent set interaction. While Jack has held the role he has of David since 2000 after bagging the now famous role as a teenager, Bill is Corrie's longest-serving star having been playing Ken Barlow since the very first episode back in December 1960.
But it appears that despite appearing together in the programme for 23 years, Bill can't separate Jack from his character. Appearing on This Morning alongside his Corrie co-star Colson Smith to chat about their podcast's latest live show in Manchester later this year, the pair
