Coronation Street star Jane Danson reveals 'concern' about Leanne's cult storyline as she teases move

Coronation Street star Jane Danson has revealed her initial 'concern' about her current storyline which continues to see Leanne Battersby brainwashed by Rowan Cunliffe and his work with 'The Institute'.
Leanne and her sister Toyah Habeeb, played by Georgia Taylor, first walked onto the cobbles in 1997 and as sisters, they have always had the fiercest of bonds. But with Leanne falling more and more under the spell of Rowan and the institute, and Toyah growing ever closer to Leanne’s fiance Nick Tilsley as he supports her through her own trauma of the stillborn baby she lost many years ago, is that bond about to face the ultimate test?
Speaking about how Leanne feels about her life right now, Jane said: "In lots of ways she's very positive about life. The Institute really has made her change her mindset and has made her look at life in a different way and approach things differently to how she has done in the past, but by doing this she’s caused a lot of problems in different areas of her life. So, even though she feels positive, she’s kind of caught in negative outcomes by what she’s doing."

And she was quick to tease how it could result in the end of Leanne's on-and-off relationship with Nick, played by Ben Price. Asked whether they could be torn apart by the wedge Rown and The Institute is causing between them, the actress revealed: "Oh it definitely could!
