Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon is set to tread the boards once more as she joins the cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie as it embarks on a UK tour. The actress, who played Andrea Beckett on the ITV soap, will be taking on the role of Miss Hedge, the teacher of lead character Jamie New, a role that she previously played in the West End.
She will be appearing in the show between September 7 and November 25 2023, and will be visiting venues in Salford, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds and Brighton, among others. Hayley has an extensive CV, and has also appeared in Corrie’s rival ITV soap, Emmerdale, where she played Delilah Dingle.
As Delilah, she conned Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) and David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) out of £20,000, before fleeing the country, after learning that David had had a one night stand with Katie Sugden (Sammy Winward). Hayley is not the only soap star to be joining this tour, as Corrie icon Shobna Gulati has also been confirmed.
Shobna, who played Sunita Alahan in the show, will be playing the part of Ray on tour. They are also joined for two stints across the tour by EastEnders star John Partridge as Hugo/Loco Chanel.
John is perhaps most recognisable to soap fans as Christian Clarke, though has also had an extensive career in musical theatre, with credits including Cats the Musical and Chicago. For even more exclusive spoilers and interviews, sign up to Metro's Soaps newsletter
