Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has made an honest admission about working on the show ahead of a huge milestone. The actor is best known to fans for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap having made his Weatherfield debut, aged 15, in November 1998.

Throughout the years fans of the ITV soap have seen much of Tyrone's storylines focused on his relationships. But it hasn't just been his romantic relationships that have changed and caused him bother and heartache.

In 2018, following the death of his mother Jackie, Tyrone discovered that Jackie was not his biological mother and while searching for his birth parents, met his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Plummer, who told him his mum was dead.
However, as Corrie fans, and Tyrone, have recently found out, that is not the case and Cassie Plummer came bounding onto the cobbles and revealed to Tyrone that she's his biological mum.
But back to Alan more specifically and in just over a month's time, the soap star will be marking a big Corrie-shaped milestone. The 41-year-old, who hails from Walkden, will be celebrating 25 years playing Tyrone.
