Coronation Street fans tuning into Tuesday night’s visit to the Cobbles, were treated to a very unexpected guest when Hollyoaks legend Nicole Barber Lane appeared at Kevin’s garage, Webster’s Autos, in the hope of finding a reliable mechanic to service her taxi firm’s fleet. Initially things appeared to be promising, but Cassie Plummer soon put her foot in it when she revealed that she was an ex-junkie and had learnt all of her vocational skills while serving time at her majesty's pleasure - something which didn't go down too well with owner Kevin who considered his new recruit to be a "liability" when it came to drumming up new clients.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to face even more schedule changes now it's the final week of September as ITV's stalwart soaps are set to clash with the channel's coverage of the Rugby World Cup. Starting from yesterday, Monday 25 September, fans of the cobbles and the Dales now need to amend when they get settled in front of the TV. Coronation Street's normal schedule sees the soap airing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but this week the soap is airing Tuesday (today) in a one-off hour-long episode.

Cindy Crawford is reflecting on her first marriage to Richard Gere. Natalie Amber recently joined the cast of Coronation Street as Shelly Rothington, but soap fans will recognise her from many other TV shows. Alastair Stewart has bravely revealed he has been diagnosed with dementia three years after stepping down from ITV News.The 71-year-old, who has presented on GB News since 2021, retired from his show Alastair Stewart & Friends in March but has continued to contribute to the channel. Speaking to Camilla Tominey on the news channel on Sunday, Alastair shared that he started to feel "discombobulated" when doing simple tasks around the house "six to nine months ago." He visited his GP and relayed fears that he may have early-onset dementia, with his doctor sending him for scans that showed he had suffered a series of strokes and does have the syndrome.
