Rebecca Ryan has been making waves in Coronation Street as Adam Barlow's vengeful ex, Lydia Chambers.The Waterloo Road and Shameless star filmed her final scenes for the ITV soap in early February and appeared on Lorraine today (Thursday 10 March) to speak about the end of her character's storyline. While many fans were excited to learn more about how Rebecca will bow out of the soap, Lorraine Kelly also quizzed the star on where she's at with her wedding plans, which she had to delay due to covid.
Lorraine highlighted that Rebecca has been with her fiancé – British Airways pilot Dan Acraman – "for a long, long time," and Rebecca reveals she "hopes" the pair will make it down the aisle this year. Lorraine explained: "You've been together with your partner for a long long time. I know that you wanted to get married, but of course covid got in the way.
Is that likely to happen?" Rebecca laughed, before saying: "Yes, we were supposed to get married two years ago, but covid hit, so we're back to square one now really – looking for a venue because we couldn't change the date. "I'm hoping – we're hoping to still get married this year, but we haven't planned anything so I need to see how it goes and get on it really."
