Coronation Street actress Rebecca Ryan has unveiled her plans to work with her two actor brothers in the future, saying a joint project would be the “ultimate dream.” Rebecca, who is on screen as Weatherfield’s scheming Lydia Chambers, is currently starring alongside younger brother Jack James Ryan, who plays the Street’s Jacob Hay. Meanwhile, she’s previously revealed that she got her big break thanks to her and Jack’s older brother Charlie, who is also an actor.
Now, speaking exclusively to OK! the 30 year old soap star says she hopes all three can join forces, and that she’s already been begging Jack to write something for them. I would absolutely love that.” She continued: “I’m not a writer but I sometimes think, ‘Maybe I should try it and just see what happens.’” While she isn’t ruling out writing a project for her siblings, Rebecca says their best bet is on Jack to put pen to paper. Rebecca explained: “Jack has written his own play that he put on in London.
It was called My Left Ball about his cancer experience that he went through, and it was incredible.” She went on to say: “It was the first thing that he wrote and I realised, ‘You’re really amazing.’” “Now, I keep saying to him, ‘Come on, Jack, you need to write something for me, Charlie and you,’ so you never know.” Further lifting the lid on the siblings’ close relationship, Rebecca described her brothers as her “best friends” and insisted there is no rivalry between them whatsoever.
