Coronation Street has officially confirmed the return of Nathan Curtis as the case of Lauren Bolton's disappearance takes a fresh twist. It's been rumoured the character, who groomed Bethany Platt as part of a sex trafficking scheme before being imprisoned in 2017, would be returning in recent weeks.
Now it's been confirmed by the ITV soap that Chris Harper will reprise the role with Bethany's evil attacker making a return to Weatherfield in upcoming scenes.
It's Bethany, played by Lucy Fallon, who first spots him at the reconstruction of Lauren’s last known movements and her mind is thrown into overdrive. Having initially thought Nathan, being reprised by Nathan Curtis, was behind bars, she discovers he was released from prison some time ago and is working on a building site nearby.

On being asked to return to the show, Chris has said: "I was emotional when I was told about Nathan's potential return. During the 18 months he was in it before, hundreds of people shared
