Coronation Street star Jodie Prenger has been told her latest accolade is 'well deserved' as she shared the sweet announcement on social media. The actress took to social media over the weekend where she was seen with just a few of her beloved furry friends.
Those who are familiar with Jodie, who plays Glenda Shuttleworth in the ITV soap, will know she's a huge animal lover. She revealed back in 2022 that at the time she had three rescue cows, three rescue ducks, three cats and three dogs. She also said: "I also have about 17 rescue chickens including my cockerel, Harry," during a chat with the Manchester Evening News.
But that list is more than likely to have grown since with Jodie last year unveiled a new pet dog, who she'd decided to rename Lily in honour of Paul O'Grady following his sad death in a nod to his alter-ego Lily Savage. Then, she told her 39,000 Instagram followers in November that she's adopted a hen from non-profit organisation Lucky Hens, which rescues commercial laying hens from slaughter.

Sharing a photo of herself cuddling a hen at the time, Jodie typed in the caption: "Come on girls…you're coming home with me [hen emoji] @luckyhens if you haven’t already give em a follow will ya" [sic].
Now though, Jodie's been seen alongside some of her adorable dogs as she posed for a sweet photo at home. Sharing the adorable picture on Sunday (March 10), the West End star said: "@birmingham_dogs_home THANK YOU. What a lovely thing to be voted in as #top5dogmum to all the mamas out there of these stunning little souls. Happy Mothers Day #rescuedogs
